The COVID-19 pandemic pushed us to be more resourceful, resilient, and collaborative — and provides opportunities to emerge with a stronger and more equitable health care system. To assess and further positive change, BioNJ and the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute joined forces to bring health care experts throughout the State together to create, “Emerging from COVID-19: An Action Plan for A Healthier State.” Input for the Action Plan was far-reaching and included patient and community advocates, clinicians and health care facility leaders, insurers, biopharmaceutical experts as well as public health and government officials.
Despite the extraordinary battles we faced, we accomplished so much with our members in the past year. We are pleased to share our 2020 Annual Report and we look forward to continuing that great work in 2021.
At the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, at the request of the State and several foundations, we recently brought together neonatologists, obstetricians, doulas, midwives, labor and delivery nurses, social workers, and others to create comprehensive recommendations for pregnant individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Read these recommendations and stay tuned for additional resources that will be shared on our maternity care page.
“The Quality Institute shares our value
of promoting high quality and affordable care
and safety in New Jersey communities.
When we need to know more about an
emerging healthcare issue,
the Institute is a valuable resource.”
