Leone Murphy, APN-C, is the Administrator of the Statewide Clinical Outreach Program for the Elderly (SCOPE) through Trinitas Regional Medical Center. She is an Instructor on Aging and Intellectual Disabilities for Rutgers University and the Boggs Center. Leone is the Chairperson for the Arc of New Jersey’s Mainstreaming Medical Care Advisory Board.
Her experiences include the development of Comprehensive Health and Mental Health services for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Leone is the Co-Chair for the New Jersey Family Support Group for those with Down Syndrome and Dementia,
Leone also had the opportunity to study with Dr Elizabeth Kubler Ross and helped develop the first Hospice facility in the United States. Leone has participated in numerous Hospice Programs and Trainings on grief counseling, bereavement support and compassionate care.
Leone received her BSN from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her MSN from Rutgers University.
