Raquel Reyes, DNP, WHNP-BC, CNM, FN-CSA recently obtained her Doctor in Nursing Practice and is dual certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and Nurse-Midwife (CNM) from Rutgers School of Nursing in May of 2022. She began her work in healthcare overseas as a nurse in Spain and then in England where she worked in inpatient settings. In 2009, she became a Registered Nurse for the State of New Jersey where she first encountered community-based women’s healthcare services, which later became her passion. In 2016, she pursued her RN to BSN at Chamberlain University.

Currently, Dr. Reyes works as a WHNP at University Hospital, in Newark, in the Infectious Disease Practice, specializing in HIV, LGBTQ+, and transgender health care. She also works as a CNM at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Forensic Nurse Examiner for Union and Somerset County. Dr. Reyes has also been newly appointed as a Clinical Instructor for the Entry Baccalaureate Division at Rutgers School of Nursing.
