As Director of Quality, Adelisa Perez-Hudgins drives quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of New Jersey residents. A Registered Nurse, Adelisa brings a decade of clinical experience to her work leading the Quality Institute’s quality improvement, transparency, and community wellness initiatives, including The Leapfrog Group and Conversation of Your Life.

Adelisa’s real-world advocacy for patients gives her a valuable understanding of how health care quality initiatives work inside and outside hospitals — and how transparency drives quality. She is a valuable resource for hospitals and other Quality Institute members. Adelisa’s clinical and academic background also support her work in policy analysis and patient advocacy

Prior to joining the Quality Institute, Adelisa worked as an Assistant Nurse Manager in an acute care hospital, where she led numerous quality improvement initiatives. Throughout her career, she has supported various patient populations in multiple clinical settings, such as family planning, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology. Adelisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kean University, and a Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Nursing Leadership from Rutgers University.
