NJ providers and insurers will use Web portal to reduce overhead New Jersey health care providers will soon be able to use a single Web portal to handle 95% of the state’s private insurance claims, reports Modern Healthcare. The Web portal was initiated by America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and a group of five New Jersey insurers – including Aetna, AmeriHealth, Cigna Corp., UnitedHealthcare, and Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield – in an effort to reduce overhead costs. Around 75% of the state’s providers are using the Web portal, and insurers will begin addressing inquiries through the portal by April.
